Join acclaimed director Siddiq Barmak (Cannes Golden Camera award; Golden Globe Best Foreign Film winner) for an intimate and unique lecture on the history and evolution of Afghan cinema.
Drawing on experiences as head of the Afghan Film Organisation, and a leading filmmaker, Barmak will reflect on cinema’s role as cultural resilience, witness, and transformation.
These special lectures will include screenings of ‘Osama’, 2003, Barmak (13th), and ‘The Patience Stone’, 2012, Rahimi (14th).
